January 2016 Recipe Round Up
We welcomed in the New Year with a handful of recipes to celebrate our fabulous new British products (and a delicious seafood one just because we love prawns!) So take a look at our Jan 2016 recipe round up and if anything takes your fancy, give it a go!
Pastrami on rye is a well-known American classic. These towering sandwiches are normally found in the delis of New York but we’ve created something a little more manageable and available closer to home. Air-dried beef that is delicately spiced with flavours from the Middle East is thinly sliced and perfect with pickles and mayo between two fresh slices of rye bread.
We love a pub lunch ploughman’s but this one is a bit different. We’ve added our mouth-watering sweet chilli chorizo to give a little kick to this savoury spread. With some hearty hunks of bread, pickle and celery on the side you really are set for the afternoon. Enjoy with refreshing British ale.
Make your entertaining easy with these delightfully moreish salami and cheese bites. It couldn’t be simpler; sliced French baguette, a dash of chutney, a little melted cheese of your choice and finish off with a wafer of herby Cumberland salami. (You don’t even have to be entertaining; you can keep them all to yourself or serve as a few light bites.)
If you’re starting the New Year with some new resolutions and you’re looking for something wholesome with plenty of flavour then look no further! We’ve used our chilli and lemon prawn skewers in a filling quinoa and avocado salad. Fresh basil and pine nuts add fragrant notes and plenty of crunchy texture.
