Food Film Shorts 2018 winner announced
We are delighted that For the Love of Food, was announced the winner of the unearthed® Food Film shorts 2018.
The lovely Food Film Short, about cooking and food producing on the Isle of Skye, filmed by With Love Project, has seized this year’s crown at unearthed® Food Film Shorts supported by Foodism, a category of Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, the world’s leading celebration of food photography and film.
The film was the result of a collaboration between friends Rob Evans, photographer and Chris Roberts, designer (With Love Project). They worked on their book together ‘For the Love of Food’, then Matt Roberts, film maker (Truck Films), brought the images to life on film.
After being presented with the award, the guys were stunned at winning, and tweeted “Over the moon to have won best short film at @FoodPhotoAward @foodsunearthed. Thank so much for everyone involved especially @KiltKuisine and @truck_films #FoodPhotoAward18”. We couldn’t have hoped for more deserving winners!
Rob Evans, Matt Roberts and Chris Roberts were presented with their £1,000 prize by unearthed® founder, Simon Day at the awards evening, packed with food and photography celebrities, at the Mall Galleries, London on Tuesday 24 April 2018. Host for the evening was legendary TV presenter and chef Prue Leith.
The awards attracted 8,000 images and films entered from 60 countries and the standard was exceptional.
