Feeling peckish….we’ve got just the chicken for you

So now the summer is on the way (we’re not sure sun got the memo though!?) we’ve decided to mix up picnicking and BBQing once again with some new ready-to-eat chicken lines launching into selected Waitrose stores on 16th May 2016. This is a first for us as it’s something a little different from our delicious olives, tapas and antipasti. But it’ll complement any picnic table or help

Catalan Inspired Chicken Wings & Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Delicioso! All the usual flavours of Catalan cuisine can be found on these wings; roasted red pepper, smoky paprika, tomato and garlic. These sticky wings also have honey added for a sweet flavour to keep any BBQ delicious! They’re ready to eat cold, but are even better after a minute in the microwave and have a roasted red pepper dip thrown in for ultimate meat snacking!

Cumin and Coriander Chicken

These tasty chicken breast chunks are deliciously marinated in a tandoori Indian inspired glaze. The main ingredients are cumin, coriander, chilli, garlic and onion. Aromatic Char poran seasoning is also added, this is an Eastern Indian spice mix including Nigella, Fenugreek, Fennel and cumin seeds. All these wonderfully fragrant flavours combine to make these succulent mouthfuls a must have at any Summer time spread!

Louisiana Hot Wings

Hey y’all! These tasty wings with a marinade inspired by the deep south of America are pretty spicy! Based on a delicious hot sauce which originated in a red pepper farm in Louisiana they have a perfectly hot BBQ flavour which will liven up any picnic! They’re ready to eat cold, but are even better after a quick minute in the microwave.

South American Mini Fillets & Chimichurri Dip

These mini fillets have a tasty Churrasco glaze made with pepper and paprika. Churrasco is a South American or Brazilian term used for grilling or BBQ, where these fillets are perfect for adding some South American pizazz! Served with a Chimichurri dip for maximum flavour (named from the Basque country and loosely translated as “a mixture of several things in no particular order”) they’re pretty perfect to bring to the party!

They’re all on sale in selected Waitrose stores and Ocado as part of our 2 for £5 range.
